Brie Spangler is from the Boston area. To be specific she's from sweet, sweet surburbia- illustrious Franklin, Massachusetts. During her school days Brie's papers, notebooks, tests, book covers, and other 2D things were covered in drawings. These doodles tended to be very story and fashion related. Usually young heroines in divine ensembles, like character driven paperdolls almost. This early fascination led to a career in illustration, where Brie's able to draw kids and people in all sorts of situations and cute outfits.

Upon graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design, Brie and her then fiance Matt, moved to New York City. After a brief stint in an illegal, rat infested apartment on the Upper West Side, the couple moved to lovely Park Slope, Brooklyn. They live there, happily married and away from the Rat Wars with their pekingese, Lola. Brooklyn was where Brie's career took off and she was tapped to illustrate 'The Stinky Boys Club', a series about seven kids and their crazy hijinks. From there she's been fortunate to illustrate books for several more publishers including Knopf, Dutton, Quirk Books, and Wiley among others. In addition to illustrating kids books, Brie finds herself enjoying editorial work for magazines and educational pieces for textbooks.
